<div>One of my husband’s favorite groups, Disturbed. Even though the video is medical in nature, it can stand for a lot of trials and tribulations coming our way with hope in the end. </div>https://youtu.be/_LypjOTTH6E

My all time favorite rendition of Art and Garfunkel’s ‘sound of silence’.
Hope it applies here!

I’m thankful to be a part of a small group of people who’s eyes are open to see and ears are open to hear. I’m thankful to have the ability to help and encourage others to build a garden or homestead. And in these trying times, I’m especially thankful to still have a job.
Peace and blessings to you all .

An extra 100’ black hose either for when my regular hose goes or when I need to heat water which I can lay on top of my roof and let the sun heat the water inside the hose. Also a couple of hose connectors for repair or extensions. Some time ago, I picked up two different hand pumps with extensions hose (one for bucket size and one for barrels) .
Next shopping will be for extra ropes, extra blades for my cutter and extra rain gutter materials for rain water catchment expansions . 👍

In the share option you can copy to the clip board and then paste wherever you want it.

Yes, I know and you’re absolutely correct, I was hasty writing it because I had to leave for work.
Thanks for correcting me Hippocrates !

You’re absolutely right, even the “organic “ is not organic as they claim it to be. I try to grow as much as possible, but I’m so not there yet. If everyone would grow at least some of their own food, the industry would have to change.

Yes, I think this is just the beginning and will only end in all lab grown food supply. I’ve already seen the “bio engineered “ on labels.
Absolutely disgusting.

Sad though, those who can’t afford any wholesome food will buy this stuff.

Homesteads/farms don’t differ that much. We all have to look at things and think ahead. I also got various oils even castor oil which can be used medicinally .
Little by little, we’ll get there. Happy continued prepping.

Assuming you have no basement for storage, 40C (ca 110F) is way too high for long term food storage. But considering that most of the canning is done in late summer/early fall and food storage is mainly for the winter/colder months, I would definitely pressure can several foods.
Maybe you have a room/closet without a window, those should maintain somewhat lower temperatures and if you could add some form of dehumidifier would helps keep temps lower as well. Maybe you could also add a heavy curtain in front of the door to insulate the closet from the rest of the house.
It would definitely be worth a try.

Not sure how fast this will happen, but it just might catch us sooner than we like. Guess FEMA has to resort back to all the plastic coffin they stashed.
Just watched a video from FSS where he discussed this situation and that these things are nothing new and we better prepare ourselves mentally.
