Our Apocalypse Playlist!!
In the grand theme of things, music has acted as one of the world’s greatest unifier, stress reliever, and rallying forces. So what songs would be in your Apocalypse Playlist? I’ll start with some selections.
Understand that what is good for one may not be good for another. So if you don’t like a song, just move on and post one you do. Let’s put together the greatest playlist for the “end of the world” ever compiled on the interwebs!
Rules:
1. The song HAS to be relevant. Try to keep it to songs that are obviously “apocalypse” music.
2. We are all adults; some songs will have foul language and even some graphic content. If you post a song like that (as I no doubt will at times as Metal is my favorite genre of music), please put a blurb saying “NSFW” or “Language Warning” so that those who do not want to see or hear that, or may be at work, know not to open it. (That being said, let’s keep raunchy stuff off the list. Discretion is the better part of valor and all. Your mom may be ok with a zombie killing metal song, but would she be ok with WAP? If you don’t know, don’t look it up……).
3. Understand that music is art and art is able to be interpreted in multiple ways. Just because an artist is a liberal piece of trash (as most are), let’s not focus on that as much as knowing that when you are swinging a bat at zombie heads someday with your headphones on, the song just may well be the inspiration you need!

Uprising by Muse and Welcome to the Revolution by Hi-Rez are two of my favorites.

Muse is my hands down favorite “pop” band. I know they are classified as that, but they are so much more. Probably one of the only truly original acts out there today (even if their last two albums weren’t as good). But Uprising…LOVE that song.

Ok, this is a TAD bit harder than anything posted yet. So…Metal Warning. No vulgar stuff though.
It also happens to be, in my opinion, a fantastic love song.

Not much of a Metal guy but I like how it shifts to different tempo’s and music. I can see me sitting on a ridge and watching the world burn in solace! Just saying.

Its so good! It’s not like the old school metal that just rips and rips. I like the newer metal core and stuff like this that transitions a lot to show complexity and emotional deviation. So good.

@FreeMan06211788 Faith Over Fear is another excellent song by Hi-Rez. There are so many new artists out there who are pushing the message. Tom MacDonald is another favorite of mine.

@HCrunner Yes William from the Pimp Cast of Perma Pasture Farm plays Tom MacDonald all the time! He is an up and coming force. He is also an independent artist.

SMOKE ON THE WATER by Deep Purple. That music hypes me up. My brothers played this kind of music and since I was the youngest of 4, I got a taste of good music very early in life. Would not trade it for nothing. Now time to entertain my lovely neighbors. HEHEHEHE
