They’re not fond of strong smelling plants such as basil, mint, rosemary, oregano, eucalyptus, citronella, wormwood, etc. Planting something like that around the house could help.
Wasps are also territorial, and don’t usually build a nest within 20′ of an existing nest. You could install decoy nests around the house and the wasps will build their nests further away.
I’ve also heard that you can repel them with dryer sheets. I haven’t tried it for to the chemicals involved, but I think it would be a better alternative than wasp spray.

Earthbag homes are impervious to fire, termites, and gunfire. They are very resistant to weather and disasters, especially earthquakes.
Incredibly easy to heat and stays cool in the summer. Combined with a rocket mass heater, you can heat in the winter somewhere around ⅛ of the firewood you would need in a regular framed home.

This year I made some with garlic, ginger and turmeric.

Yesterday we made it down to -18⁰ in Northern Colorado, with windchill at around -40⁰. That was cold. Today is much more temperate. It felt amazingly warm to venture out in positive double digits.

I had several plants produce Siamese twins: yellow squash, eggplant, tomatoes and huckleberry. All joined at the top but definitely two distinct fruits.

The Foxfire books have been on my wish list for a long time, but they’re far out of my price range. It would be a true blessing.

I was part of the Pinball roving seed box. It never made it to me, unfortunately.

The Hegelian Dialectic. It’s being used so often, and the masses can’t see it. My backyard birds are going to become more and more valuable as time goes by.

What a loss! I’m so sorry. Hopefully you’ll win this one.
