If the pickled eggs are in the brine, I would just leave them how they are, the pickling will preserve them.

To the freezing, never tried to freeze eggs, but I’m sure you can freeze hard boiled eggs it would definitely be worth a try.

I never do anything with my eggs, I just set them unwashed as they come from the nest into a cardboard egg crate then set several of them into a stackable cardboard box (the ones from the stores where the blueberry/raspberry and such fruit come in) date them and keep them stacked in the basement. They keep like that for at least four months if not longer.

More pictures of the Victorian Sewing book with great ideas we can draw from when zippers and co are unobtainable.

That’s exactly what I had a day ago and within like two seconds, everything went blank – white screen.

Just tonight, everything was back up again and I didn’t even have to sign in.

Well, with the extra raised beds and maybe an already planted fruit tree or two, you might just set yourself apart from other sellers. đź‘Ť Best of luck .

Yes, sunscreen is a definite must. I’ve used low tunnels before on my beds, this year I want to convert them and use bug netting over the frames.

My main goal is to get more garden space covered to be able to grow for an extended season. I only have 1/3 acre and space is at a premium so the more space I can utilize the better. I know that I would save on time and effort if I would fix the one I have and just build the second one right next to it, but I think I’m going to take down the old one and build a larger hoophouse instead. In that case, the larger hoophouse will be turned lengthwise, in line with the garden and, more importantly, in line with the prevailing winds to help with ventilation. Depending on how things work out, I might even add the dividing wall/double doors. I still have three 4’/8′ beds in the open and could cover them later on; I also have a little 6’/8′ aluminum frame Greenhouse in the back for additional options.

Good luck on finding a new location, may the Lord guide you well. 🙏

I would definitely be interested in an ‘everything sewing/needle work’ group. It could include all sorts of home made work as well as crafts, just everything that’s needed/useful on a homestead.

Wow, thanks, that’s great info. I’m on Long Island and summers can get pretty hot, but ventilation wouldn’t be a problem since we’re having a breeze going most days. My wheels are definitely turning now.

I like the idea of a divider in the middle maybe I can make it into a double door. This would definitely help with cross pollination and disease. Hmmm, I’m thinking. Thanks.

Wow, I guess that’s why they are typically build small. You might need a raised cooking surface so that excess heat can escape.
