New Group Request
BLUF: Outdoor Activities
Thank you for adding all of the new groups, I didn’t expect that to happen for months! I do hope you all are finding enough time for sleep!
I do have one more group request that I’d love to see at some point. Outdoor Activities might not seem to relate directly to Freesteading, but it could serve as a place for members to discuss and coordinate real life Outdoor Activites and build connections that extend beyond the internet.
Or maybe I just love hiking, camping, and backpacking and want to share, discuss, and encourage healthy, real world recreational activities.

What is the process for starting a new group? I’d like to start one specifically for “Tennessee Gardeners”. Many members of the existing Facebook group are getting frustrated with the daily issues related to Facebook oversight.

At the moment, members aren’t able to create new groups. Members can create new discussions in the forum sections of existing groups though. Instead of waiting for new groups for every niche, people in TN could just start discussions (forum threads) for TN specific interests in the TN Group.
For example, once the Survival Group was created, I kicked off four different threads for things that fall under that umbrella. It’s different than FB for sure, but it works.

Hey all, we are very aware that the groups and forums need to grow. There are plans to address this. Right now we are working on the mobile app and the marketplace. Thank you for the feedback.

Would anyone be interested in a group on homemade items or handmade crafts. I do crafts.

I would definitely be interested in an ‘everything sewing/needle work’ group. It could include all sorts of home made work as well as crafts, just everything that’s needed/useful on a homestead.

My friends don’t call me “Crafty Cindy” for nothing! lol
I would be interested in just about anything under this title. I sew, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, quilt, macrame, paper crafts, jewelry making, candle making, scrapbooking, drawing, woodworking, and whatever my imagination leads me to do. Creating is my stress outlet.
I would love to perfect many of the things I already do. Plus, there are so many other things I would love to learn.
