MemberNovember 13, 2022 at 8:28 pm in reply to: This is How the World Ends, This is How the World Ends….This is key. The goal is transhumanism. The rulers of this world are not content with controlling the monetary systems, the governmental systems and the consumer systems. They want to get off this planet, live unfettered by human bodily limitations, and retain their place in their ivory towers.
Essentially, they crave god-hood. They will sacrifice as many of us as they can to do so. Once transhumanist AI and all that goes along with it are in place, they will need just a handful of humans to act as technicians. There is likely no self-sustaining AI system that can subside free of human interaction.
So if they can create a worker force of 500 million easy to control meat puppets under the control of designer drugs, vaccines and fluoride; that will just be happy in their 10 x 10 cubical with a plasma screen to tell them what to do….well….then they can finally be free of ruling billions of people. They can explore the universe and be gods. At least that’s what I am convinced they believe.

I agree. The front of my house, as seen from the street looks like any other traditional home. All the food production is in the back and built to specifically look like a “hobby garden”. Even from the air it’s very unassuming.
But the trick is that I supplement a seriously good chuck of my family’s annual food consumption from it while keeping it looking like just something I do for fun.

This is a very sad and disgusting story. I would hope we would all see her in need and help. I am certainly not the “shoot everyone in the face” type of prepper. Frankly, anyone who says they are the “shoot them in the face” type for every scenario is as much the enemy as the government or the Chinese or the aliens.

I suppose that’s true too. The zombie saying came from before 4G was a thing in the US, so maybe we need to update it a bit. hahah

So many people don’t understand that round count wins gun fights. Sure, we all think we are better than we are and we like to say that “shot placement” wins gun fights. But as a guy who has been shot at, and fired back, I can say that with the exception of the most ardent warriors on the planet, we all lose fine motor skills and all get tunnel vision during confrontations like that.
Having the ability to lay down more lead than the bad guy becomes paramount for people who aren’t used to armed conflict.
So yeah, how many rounds do you want? As @Freeman06211788 says… All of them!

MemberNovember 11, 2022 at 11:49 pm in reply to: Worst Preparedness Advice EVER!!!!Nope. I am constantly gaging people. Old mentalities from the Army don’t fade. I also open carry a handgun everywhere I go until wintertime makes that unfeasible. So my head is always moving, I’m never lethargic and I pay attention to everything. I look at everyone and decide my chances of winning against them.

MemberNovember 11, 2022 at 10:35 pm in reply to: Worst Preparedness Advice EVER!!!!These are numbers that have been put out by the DHS and generally have to do with survivability based on many factors generated by think tanks and simulations. They are general statistics and of course like most statistics should be taken with a grain of salt.
However, these numbers are what the DOD uses for war games, occupation simulations and are based on good solid concepts.
The reason that it is assumed so many will die is based on the aptitude of people in general. Even people within the prepping world tend to be older, overweight, low income and reliant on many things.
I take all of this into account, and also add my personal experience in putting on dozens of shows, expos, festivals and other events where I have had exposure to thousands of preppers, homesteaders and survivalists over two decades.
Most preppers don’t consider many factors that are pivotal to survival in places like Burma, Mexico, West Africa and places right now that are undergoing the very circumstances that they feel they will one day charge forth, bug out bag and .22 rifle in hand and conquer.
So that’s really where I make my determinations from. Not a place of judgement as much as a very real view of people in general who have no clue what the world they believe will come to be, will be like.
I also know that there is a high chance that I will be one of those who die. We can’t out prep Murphy. I just believe in hedging my chances as best I can.
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks for commenting and challenging us! I truly enjoy the conversation.
