Oh wow, okay. I hadn’t thought about pool chlorine, or the bleach not being viable in a few months. How much chlorine do you use per gallon.
-
I found a document that outlines how to use bleach to help purify water. I will try to find it and post it up on here.

If you go to your profile and look at your ‘Timeline’ it shows the comments and things that you have been active in. The other way to get notifications is to subscribe to a particular thread that you are interested. Hope that helps some.

Awesome, thanks heaps!!!

I’d like to know that as well, because we are thinking of starting blackberry, raspberry etc. Also, do blackberry’s and raspberry’s send out shoots and suckers that pop out from the ground around them?

This is a great thread to keep track of and it’s been helping me write a list of things I need. So thanks for all your info.
The one thing that I need to consider is that here in the Land of Oz carrying any sort of weapon will land you in jail – straight up (So, most of you are blessed to be able to do that). They have limited the carrying of blades to one’s that are as long as a person’s thumb, and it must be work related. And guns, yeah that ain’t happening over here at all – you can’t have semi-auto anything, nor pump action shotguns, and magazines are limited to less than 10 rounds. That said, I have a small go bag that has knives and a hatchet in it along with medical gear – which I take when we travel anywhere beyond our normal area.
We have invested in some decent cookware (pots etc) that can be used over a fire should the need arise.

Totally agree with you….but I would add another level of freedom – Freedom of spirit/heart. Unless people try to be free of entanglements in their heart/mind/soul then there are aspects of homesteading that can be just as limiting and binding to a person as being a wage slave. And when the system implodes, this might just be the most important freedom any of us have, given the potential consequences.

A) A ‘Marketplace’ – a dedicated place for people to post about their food produce, equipment/tools, land for sale etc.
B) A ‘How-To’ section – where people can ask questions or post their own solutions on how to fix/build infrastructure, vehicles etc.
C) A ‘Grow’ section – where people are able to ask questions or post their own videos of how to propagate and grow food, fodder crops/trees, and companion planting regimes/guilds etc.
D) A ‘Livestock’ section – a place all about husbandry, rotation techniques, breeds, etc – of livestock (including poultry) where people can ask questions or post their own video.

I’ve also lost friends, and kids at school to suicide (been a school chaplain)…and my heart breaks for those who were willing to give it all for their country, and struggle so greatly. And I stand with you in hoping anyone…vet or otherwise reaches out for help if they need it. And I hope that this community can stand alongside anyone who needs help.

We’ve do e a bunch of stuff. First we stopped watching TV altogether. We get our news from various sources but we don’t dwell on it, or overload on it. Second we started growing some food for ourselves even before the ‘commie bug’ hit, but ramped it up 9ver past couple of years. Third we have housed people in our house that lost their job because of the ‘pokey poke’. Fourth I write an encouraging, but warning filled bible study blog. Fifth we are wanting to get a farm property of our own so that we can provide for ourselves, our families and our community in need. Lastly, we want to learn from all of you.

Williams friends at The Confessionals have been experiencing weird tech difficulties lately on a podcast lately when talking about some esoteric stuff that the govt might be involved with.
As for us personally, we have had issues with credit cards and bank transfers when trying to buy equipment, or when we go to buy stuff, it is mysteriously all of a sudden out of stock.

But I am glad that you found something productive and uplifting that helps you in that space. Keep it up!!!

Thanks for the opportunity to voice it. We have had to be quiet about things because family, friends don’t understand our position – and I still work in the place that kicked those people living with us out. I never thought for a moment that in my life I would be involved with subversive actions (irrespective of how minor they may be) because the world had gone to hell so quickly. But here we all stand, boulders in a raging river, holding our own against the flow.

My wife (we live in a similar type climate here in Western Australia) and I have been learning lots from both of you from your YouTube channel. We are both appreciative of your knowledge and faith, and your willingness to share it to everyone. God Bless!!!
