G’Day, my name’s Ray, and I live in the south western corner of Western Australia. Currently, my wife and I live on a small urban property on the outskirts of Perth, and we are growing as much of our vegetables as we can in our garden. In the near future, we are looking to get a small property (in an area even further south in Western Australia) where we can grow more food for ourselves, our family, and for those in need in the surrounding communities.

I spent most of my younger years living in rural towns, and worked on farms after high school before university. I have a degree in Environmental Management, and am now a high school teacher. My faith in God is what drives me towards a more balanced way of growing things and keeping livestock.

We are wanting to gain knowledge and skills that would help us be as self-sufficient as soon as possible.
