All meats process 90 minutes in a pressure canner.

Pineapples do need to be inside during cold weather. We wintered many pineapples in our house all winter for 4 years. WE didn’t use lamps. Only natural sunlight by windows

Start slow . Ask them to come see a plant or harvest something. At least a couple times a week. Then ask if they will come help on a small project like planting or watering or harvest. Sometimes people are overwhelmed by the amount of work it takes to raise your own food. And sometimes that person will never be an outdoors gardening type.

I freeze the oatmeal for 2 weeks. Then let it come to room temperature before sealing. You don’t want moisture in it. That will kill most larvae

Put bay leaves in any flour, corn meal, seeds, dry beans. Oatmeal. It does help with bug issues
