I got this idea from a rabbit farmer in Kenya.

Place a tray or tin under cage and have it drain in a cut pipe, then have a peice of hardware cloth covered with a screen. The urine will flow to bottom and can drain into a container while the solid can go into another.

I have found that using my rabbit manure or rabbit tea has caused issues with my plants. I would suggest trying to find organic rabbit feed if you plan on using their manure. I’ve been raising rabbits for many years and find that de-boning and grinding the meat makes fantastic burgers.

Here is the setup I came up with. I used vinyl roofing both as a back splash and on the bottom I slanted it towards a metal gutter that I clean every couple days.

@JerseyGiantChick – Are you asking me? I made them from Wire Shelving available at big box lumber stores.
