    In the past I have found one of those channels you mentioned to be a little untrustworthy. I wont call the channel out by name but there has been a fair bit of drama with it, and some of their content has seemed sensationalized for views. I followed some of their advice about a product early on and ended up wasting a lot of money on a product that looks pretty in the pantry but does NOT do a good job. The other channel you mentioned I have never heard of. But I DO trust Danny and Wanda. I have had an Alexa Pure for almost 2 years now and we can taste and smell the difference. I have seen videos where you test the filter by putting red food dye in the water and it comes out clear. I havent done that myself but I trust the old guy I watched that was testing his water to see if his filter was worn out. And it was worn out because the water was pink, then he put in a new filter and the water came out clear. So the previous poster is right, it does come down to a matter of trust.

    We got a long soaking hard rain both Sunday and Monday. It was such a joy to listen to the thunder. My spinach is happy.

    I found seeds at Territorial Seed and ordered them. Of course if they come up for sale at Deep South I will try to get them. But I often miss out. Tried to get Mr Als Sweet potato and missed out on that. I also found Tennessee Sweet Potato Squash at Marys Heirloom seeds and got that one too. Im wondering if the Thelma Sanders and Tennesse Sweet Potato squash are the same thing. THe cool thing is that the Thelma Sanders variety originated in Missouri so I am very hopeful that it will be a good one for growing here (KCMO area). Been trying to find Evangeline Sweet Potato without success.

    Ive been using peppermint oil with massage every since this thread was posted and Toni mentioned it. You guys it works! Stops my asthma attacks instantly. Ive had asthma my whole life and spent so much time in ERs and being hospitalized for it. This is incredible. If only my parents had known about this when I was a kid. My whole life would have been different!

    Grateful for this thread. It has probably kept me from making a big mistake by getting them. Since I live in an HOA neighborhood, in a city that doesnt allow “livestock” and in a culdesac which means our yards are super close at the front there is no way I could get away with having them live on my deck.

    So excited for tomorrow, it marks the end of my garden sabbatical. Will be prepping the beds for garlic this week, I think planting on the 10th if all goes well.

    After they were bought by Meta, the directions for deleting your account quit working. The last few steps are either no longer available or hidden. I cant figure out how to do it.

    Sounds a lot like my house ole-man! No shame in that! Homes are for living in not for show

    I felt torn about this a year or so ago, felt so guilty about the indoor chores suffering when I was spending so much time outside working in the garden. Then I saw this in my bible:

    Proverbs 24:27

    Prepare your work outside

    And get it ready for yourself in the field;

    Afterward build your house and establish a home.

    What scared me the most was when it started offering up suggestions on the topics of things I had merely thought about and not said out loud, while in a completely different part of the house. I dont have a “smart” home! Or when I would go somewhere WITHOUT MY PHONE and later when I was back home would be suggestions about the location I had been. I dont use blue tooth and I have a 10 year old car. WTH.

    Thank you FatherFigure, that is really helpfull. I was considering them mainly for eggs. Right now I am drowing in eggs from the Amish CSA that I did this summer, and from my daughter but wanted to have a back up source for the future.
