Im a wimp! Turned on the heat an hour ago after being plum miserable for two days and working all day today with a hat and gloves on INSIDE the house. Finally checked the temperature and it was dipping into the 50s inside and dropping. Supposed be in the 20s tonight. Brrr! Gotta go bring the olive trees inside!

I’m holding out as long as possible. I know my husband will turn the heat on when I’m not looking. Yes, it was cold in the house this morning. I took the dogs out and it was so chilly, BUT….when I came back in, the house felt so toasty! I told my husband, before you turn on the heat, go outside for 5 minutes and the house will be warm as toast when you come in.
Unfortunately, Tuesday night will get down to the low 20’s. I predict the aroma of cooking dust bunnies in the air Wednesday morning—

It’s amazing how warm 50 degrees feels when you are outside working! But I still work full time for “the man” and he laid off 10% of the workers last week so today is not the day to run outside and pretend Im already free! One of these days 🙏

I find I can’t work when I’m cold so I give it a couple days of doing nothing and being cold before I get sick of it and turn the heat on. Then boom, back to work feeling like a living human again.

I’m still good. But, I’m also in the throngs of menopause. I’m lovin it!! LOL This comes from someone who use to LOATH winter!! LOL I don’t see us turning on the heat yet. The next three days are lows of freezing or below. Tonight 31, Tuesday night 28 and Wednesday night at 31 again. Maybe by Wednesday I’ll be cold enough to turn on the heat. It was so hard to pull up all those tomatoes and peppers today. They had sprung back to life after no heat and a couple of rain showers. I got two big stainless steel bowls full of tomatoes and peppers. All the tomatoes have to ripen in the house. I have NO IDEA where I’m going to put them all.

Love those last few days of hurryband harvest all the things! Sounds like your weather is a few days behind. It caught me off guard, for when I saw the high for today it seemed chilly but normal, what I didnt realize is that high was for this morning and it would be dropping all day. Supposed to be 22 tonight. It is too early for this!
