Is your foodsaver sucking up your power bill?

Well this morning I went to move my food saver and I felt the back of the unit was warm..

I thought that was odd it is turned off.

I got my killawatt meter and I found it was pulling 5 watts of power turned off….

Yes that is not much power, but over time that does add up. I will be unplugging my food saver from here on out.

    Just a FYI.

We pretty much keep all of our countertop appliances (except for the microwave/air fryer/convection oven) unplugged when not in use.

Some items the power switch kills power to all, others it does not. But keeping unplugged or on a power strip that you can flip for all items sure can make a difference, as it seems you already know.
