Sure you just put out a bowl of soda . Rodents can’t burp. Carbonation in the soda .It’s just like using baking soda mix w a corn bread mix. Which i have tried. It use to work.

Safe way to get rid of mice and rats only kills mice and rats as they can’t expel gas.

I make a mixture of equal parts flour, sugar, and baking soda. Then add about ¼ part peanut butter (to attract the mice or rats), and just enough water to get the mixture to form into small marble sized balls.

I then distribute the balls around the areas where the mice are known to be, I have lost count of how many hundreds of dead mice I have found all around the yard.

I’ve tried the 5 gallon bucket with the soda can & peanut utter never work for me.

But i would try a beer.

So i don’t think it would work. Might give him a stomach ache. Ive never actually seen an one. They are not consider rodents. So i don’t know if they burp🥴They say they like to eat grums. So as far as your garden if you have chickens . I guess in your down time let them sift thru the garden . The lawn theres an organic grub deterent Made by Andersons. You might try. Don’t know whats allowded .
