We are an outdoor kind of family of 3. We love to grow and garden no matter where we are. We were moving once a year, seeing and doing as much we could, making friends and memories on our days off while each working and/or going to school. In 2020 that all stopped when Traumatic Brain Injury became a part of our lives. We now live, laugh, love and homestead on a little corner on family land in Texas.

A greenhouse is needed to garden here in northeast Florida because of occasional flooding rains (poor drainage) and abused soil from 100 years of pine tree farming (low nutrients) After 3 attempts at in the ground gardening, we began some hydroponic gardening in a homemade structure, but need to expand for raised beds and other crops. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest.

I would love a greenhouse. I wouldn’t have to try to drag several potted citrus trees into the house. I am not a spring chicken anymore and my strength is not what it used to be.

This is just what we have been praying for and we know it will go a long way towards making us a self-sustainable homestead.
