Being a homeschool Nana for the grandkids, I wanted a close by hydropontic garden on the porch. This does not produce enough food though. My husband filled up a greenhouse with more hydroponic plants, but we would like a greenhouse for raised bed root crops. We live in NE Florida with horrible drainage and soil. We have 10 acres

I would love the opportunity to win the greenhouse. I have 6 acres in Kentucky where I grow a garden to meet food needs for myself and immediate family and have steadily been building an orchard with nuts, berries, and fruit trees. I believe strongly in the benefits of growing my own food and will continue to do so as long as physically possible. I live on the top of a hill that experiences extreme weather conditions, so a greenhouse would help me more easily start seeds, protect a portion of the summer harvest, and extend the growing season to enjoy fresh food longer.

We are 51 and 55 and started our new lifestyle 8 years ago. It’s never too late to start. Hubby is getting booted from the Army after 25 years, about 30 days until we finally get to embrace our homestead full-time.

This green house would be a game changer for us in extending our short northern Wisconsin growing season.
