God’s abundance
Just wanted to brag on God. It is humbling when He shows off His abundance. His provisions are amazing in spite of our garden being smaller than we had hoped this year due to health and family issues.
We always try to make ourselves available to local food pantries whenever they have spoiled food items or food that they are unable to share with the public because it doesn’t meet their standards. Instead of filling dumpsters and dealing with rotting food odor and pests, they bless us with items to supplement our animal feed. Many times there is nothing fit for human consumption. We do it to help serve.
Sometimes (like today), we receive produce that just needs to sorted, washed, and processed. Our dehydrators are busy, freezers are filled with goodies for future processing (freeze drying, dehydrating, and canning), and plenty to share with some friends.
Today’s bounty was over 150 pounds of asparagus…a treat that we only grow small amounts of and can seldom afford at the grocery store.

Yeah, on American Homestead channel he talked about how few people that goto the food banks know how to cook fresh food. He said often food would goto waste because there was no demand for it. Glad you have bonus food.
