We truly can just about everything from meat to milk! So far the only thing that we WON’T can again is orange juice (store bought pasturized oj) ’cause my grown daughter said it was HORRIBLE. I don’t really like oj, unless it’s fresh squeezed, so I didn’t even try it.
In addition to canning most everything, we dehydrate everything that we’re able to. We live where we can’t always get down the mountain + the closest grocery store is almost 20 miles away, so we really enjoy having a stocked pantry. ❤

It sure feels like it here in south central KY and we’re THRILLED ’cause we (my grown daughter and I) don’t manage the heat very well.

I’m “in the same boat” and hoping I can learn this new stuff quickly ’cause I think it’s WONDERFUL to have/use!!

I’ve done that in the past and my kids (even the grown ones) were not thrilled, to say the least, about how slimy the raw packed chicken was which is why I started roasting the chickens. Another reason for roasting the chickens is that I make bone broth which we really enjoy.

We were blessed a few yrs ago to get soft white wheat for making everything but bread from Azure Standard. Great place to do business with!!

CONGRATULATIONS on getting a freeze dryer, it’s on our wish list!! For now we’re dehydrating fruits/veggies and canning everything that we’re able to.
