I have the Foxfire story book that my girls got me for my birthday. It is interesting reading the stories of Appalachia that are in there. A couple of years ago I was waiting on my honey to get a ct scan and was sitting beside a man that was reading one of the books and we got to talking. He said he had found books 1 thru 3 for $15.00 at a local used book store. I was so jealous, but glad for him to have come across such a find for that price.

When this hit, the doc I worked for ordered bottles for each for us in case we needed it and put us on a regiment of c, d3 and zinc daily until the risk was over. I trusted him more than I would trust our government or any agency to tell me how to take care of myself.

Thankful for my walk with my Lord, our family, friends and this site. That I have eyes to see and ears to hear instead of being turned over to a reprobate mind like I am witnessing in our world. Also thankful that we were able to have a somewhat normal Thanksgiving this year.

My name is Reta and my hubby and I are a versatile couple. 12 years ago, God put us in North East Tennessee on 10 acres with a house that needed updated and fixing. Right now we are tearing out the bathroom because of a water leak and putting everything new back in. We are now both retired. I worked in the medical field and Mr. Mountain Homestead worked in industrial roofing. We do woodworking and have remodeled every house we have ever lived in. Mr. Mountain homestead, our son and my family are musically inclined. I on the other hand am not. I had an in home bakery for many years and made wedding cakes. I make soaps, creams, sprays and bracelets. I also make my own medicinal concoctions for my Apothecary cabinet. We grow a garden and can everything we grow. We have raised pigs and we have chickens. Here is to getting to know you.

The best way to do that ATM is to join your state group and post there. https://freesteading.com/groups/state-discussions/subgroups/

Tag and Bee are the two that put this together for us and they are working on an area for this. This site is still in Bata stage and there are legal things they have to set up before they can put it on here. If you want to keep track of what they are doing and how things are progressing for this site you can follow their youtube channel or their area on here. https://freesteading.com/members/tag/activity/ , https://freesteading.com/groups/life-done-free/ , https://www.youtube.com/c/LifeDoneFree
