If you don’t ask, how can another know how to help?

Always see the beauty, the joy, that still exists. It at times can be difficult, but He who is above us, is watching, guiding, and has our back.

And when it comes to canning jars, sometimes one might break, either in the canning process or simply by dropping.
Now plastic? I’m trying to get rid of it if it hasn’t served me or will not serve me. This past week I put in the recycle bin 2 large boxes of items I no longer use. I did keep some in excellent condition, yet I still question if I should have.

I’m just now reading this. Welcome!! We all have our journeys that we can all overcome, despite the initial hardship.
Could I make a suggestion without offending? Maybe, since your dad wants to build you a chicken coop, and you know he doesn’t have the ability to accomplish it, that if you suggest you work together it could get done? I’m thinking that maybe he simply desires to see you have what you find joy in, so if you work together, maybe he could “supervise”, provide ideas that will provide more opportunities for conversations of homesteading and why this is important to you.
Welcome!!

Many are on the same journey as yourself. FREEDOM begins when we make a choice to be self-sufficient.

I’m sorry that they would not “marry you in” as you were already established w/your livestock.
Optimism will pave the way, even when the road seems challenging. My husband and I lived in ME for about a year. At the time jobs were scarce, hence why we are in NH.
We are in a transition stage, where my husbands’ new job w/SIG, values him and their employees. It is over an hour drive for him, so our goal is to find a new home w/more acreage (we don’t need tons, maybe 5-10) so that we can be more rural. We could move to ME or stay in NH. Then again, I’m not really sure I desire to move to the coast, while preferring more of a wooded/wildlife setting.
Welcome!!

One thing many forget, is that if the internet goes down, so does walking into our bank to acquire our funds. Hence why I feel it is important to have cash on hand.
