First garden I planted here did okay, but I literally harvested a sidewalk full of rocks. My grandson said “hey, maybe you can sell those, Lowes does “😂

Single and working a full time job while trying to start my homestead and have time for woodworking as well. I’m tired but it’s worth it. Right now I have ducks and have had a garden starting three years now. Just ordered laying hens, meat chickens, and a couple turkeys and geese. Want to pick up a couple pigs also. Trying to clear a silvo pasture for possibly sheep at some point in the future. Need a greenhouse and root cellar yet. 🥱

I love classical music, and the old hymns. Played clarinet for 7 years and never learned to read music, drove my band teacher crazy because I played by ear.😂

Hey, this is miss woody, thanks for the introduction sojourner, interesting past you’ve had. Yes, I have a real name, but as you said we humans are very untrusting, besides all my friends actually know me as miss woody. I’ve been here for about a week and have learned so much already, seems like a great group of people. I have wanted to homestead for years and was finally blessed with almost 3 acres. I’ve been a nurse for over 30 years and am so tired of it. I’m an army vet (cook), divorced, mom of two grown children and grandma to 5 precious souls. I’ve been a Christian since 2006. Looking forward to learning from all you folks.
