We have the family grain mill. We love it. It’s manual but can attach to a kitchen aid. We have the grain grinder and oat flaker☺

Last month our bill was 178 (used to be 50 bucks) just received our bill yesterday we brought it back down to 113$. We did this by dying clothes outside (removed our dryer from the house), unplugged our electric stove and cook with gas outside on a campchef oven/stove, and turned off our ac and opened windows πŸͺŸπŸ˜€. We don’t keep anything plugged in now except frig and freezer. We only turn lights and ceiling fans on if we are in that room.

The Simpson also “predicted ” trumps death too…will that be the start of civil war since everyone worships him? Just a thought..and why does the Simpsons know what happens in the future all the timeπŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ€”

    Hello πŸ‘‹! We have an 16yr, 13yr.(autistic), 12yr,10 yr, and a 9 yr.;)

We work better on what I call a relaxed schedule πŸ˜†. We have a mixture of books that I’ve picked up at Christian school book sales, homeschool group book sales, and library book sales (usually for 1$ a bag). We work from 9- 12 Monday- thrusday. We take Fridays off for a longer weekend πŸ™Œ. Bc we work thru locals fairs and most holidays that society celebrates (we do take off for Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving) we are able to take off whenever for a field trip, or family fun day and sometimes it’s just a snow or rain day bc daddy is home;) I love the Freedom. It doesn’t always stay like this sometimes we just change it up completely;) we learn every day, even as adults 😊

I’ve often wondered what I’m gonna need from others that aren’t prepared but for us that live in rural subdivisions there are some things, we have 5 kids so we would go throw more than most families and 5 kids go through a lot of socks πŸ˜† but on a serious note we have 3 sheds of wood but if for some reason we burned all that I would trade for wood maybe even water if like we’ve been for 2 months without rain so our barrels can run dry. There are lots of people with pools and a pond on the backside. We did get rain today but we have realized in these months we won’t have enough water in a drought. My husband thinks though that in a bad situation it would be like the blizzard we had and everyone would leave their homes bc that’s what happened we had no power for two wks. People will flee to neighboring towns, hotels, city ect..and then we would have access to their wood and water for free lol

Right! The usda is a “guide ” for those just learning about canning. Those of us like myself going back 4 generations of have never even looked at the usda guidelines lol. I don’t even like the name “usda” when talking about canning bc the USA is not the only country that cans. We are a nation of abundance that we often times take for granted but you have people in other countries canning differently for actual survival and is a necessity where here in the USA is more like a “hobby”. I guarantee if we were truly canning with a survival mindset (no stores..no money) we would be like my great grandparents in the depression canning anything they could put up! I will tell you first hand you CAN can pumpkin puree even though the “usda ” Says you shouldn’t πŸ˜‚ along with many other things but for those just starting out it can be used as a guide, just remember the USA isn’t always right about everything. My great grandparents always said “if someone else makes it..so can I” πŸ˜‰
