I’d like to hear the answer to this myself. But I’ve got another question to add with it. If I were to get a grain mill to grind my own corn flour. Would it be better to vacuum seal whole corn in Mylar bags than to store flour in jars? I figure if you grind something down you speed up the degradation process. Plus I’m betting freshly ground 5 year old corn isn’t as stale as 5 year old flour. Thanks Marthale for the question

From my observations the homeless are mostly made up of mentally ill, and addicted. I’d dare say 75% of them need either a psychiatric or rehabilitation facility and in many cases both. The other 25% might get back on their feet if given the support and motivation. Those who aren’t physically disabled. Those 75% won’t likely be willing.

From what I could find. Bovine somatotropin (BST) is a natural protein hormone that controls the amount of milk the cows produce. There is an artificial hormone called rBST. The “r” meaning recombinant. It could be he’s against rBST or any additional BST being given to dairy cattle other than what occurs naturally. Some people don’t like companies playing God with our food. Kinda like the GMO argument

I’ve got 16 hens and 13 of them are over 3 years old. Between a molt and the time change they had pretty much stopped laying. I haven’t been getting feed from TSC. . Right around new years I began supplementing light on a timer. I wouldn’t be doing it if eggs weren’t so darn expensive. Laying began to pick up but what really boosted their laying was tossing a couple of cups of catfood in with their pellets. They go straight for it first.

I’m considering getting tested for ADHD because I’m can go outside to do some work and I have so many things that need my attention I end up getting nowhere. It’s overwhelming. I ended up taking the chainsaw and trimmer to an overgrown part of the property and just went to work. Fewer distractions

I was sketching out a design for chicken breeder pens. Six separate coops and runs interconnected. Thanks for the tips

I’m getting back into quail after a hiatus. I wasn’t pushing my quail for profit but I sold some here and there and I’m sure I ultimately lost money with them because of poor management strategy. This time I’m either selling or butchering my extra males. You can’t do this sort of thing and procrastinate or be lazy or you’ll hemorrhage money.

I use one of these 42 gallon Brute cans as a reservoir for my chicken nipple watering system. Works well and no light can penetrate to grow algae.
