oohhhh…. I’ve always managed to take my books through both those…thank goodness for a truck!
at this point in my life, only a true disaster would make me pick, and then, I don’t think books is what I’d be digging out and packing…
‘seed to seed’ is a great resource for planting almost everything, and I fail to rember details and need to look…
anything Ruth Stout, and Elizabeth Zimmerman makes me happy to read…
i got too many medical and veterinary books to carry…
likewise, too many homeschooling books to even think of carrying….
my hand scribbled notes and plans would definitely go – sometimes they are gatherd up together enough to be ‘book-ish’….
I would think any book that you reach for now and then, and one that always puts a smile on your face would definitely make the cut to be brought. and i guess i would work my way out from there with: is it useful info? fun/happy read? do I already know this info, and don’t reference it anymore? do I hate this book?
I don’t know…. that would be hard to narrow them down. 😢

my electric fence has trouble working if the ground is too dry. to get around this, i hook my ground wire to the metal fence and/or run a ground wire between hot wires. if you hit both at once, you get the full shock. note that if your electric fence gets shorted out, and your ground is the fenceline, your gates and stuff will spark…..
I also suggest you get a charger with as many Jules as you can afford if you are going to try to keep in cows, goats/sheep… (my favorite I have is 16j and it is great! – until I get bit too…)

we are getting that early frost here too on okla. not much to cover here. there isn’t even grass hardly. too dry this summer. just a few ornamentals that got babied all summer to cover up at my place. maybe wrapping a tarp or a sheet of plastic over the roselle will be enough to get them through the frost? it probably won’t frost again for a few more weeks and the pods could ripen. if they are in a row you could throw a whole sheet of plastic over them like they were in a greenhouse.

just so you know, I don’t necessarily do it well or on time. nothing I build or fix ends up ‘pretty’. I learned how to do little bits of everything growing up, and learned how to figure out how to fix things if they broke – because if it broke, you can’t afford another one and nobody is going to fix it for you. I sure ain’t wonder woman over here…. I’m just scaping by usually. most things can be patched if you can figure out what is wrong with it. (and I can keep myself from getting distracted and wondering off… 🙃)
thank you for such kind words though! : )
