I like what your saying but I would consider no power. Starting the homestead with no power helps identify what power needs you will have. Starting with small generator systems to meet the need.

We are excited to attend again this year!! Last year was a very eye opening experience!! We don’t know what we don’t know and the community we found has better prepared us to starve the beast!!

We are thankful for Gods daily gifts. Thankful to be married to our best friends!!! Five amazing kids and grand babies. Water, shelter and food. We couldn’t want for anything more!

Is your coop dry? Do you do put down a layer (4-6 inches) straw or hay? Is it slightly ventilated? You don’t want it to be to humid. We do not use heaters or lamps.
We have had no problems with frost bite.
