I will tell my “representatives” to leave the chickens and other livestock alone. Thank you for the information. We have started incubating a batch of eggs.

My chickens identify as dogs. That is the answer I will give if anyone tries to harm them.

My baking is mostly sourdough bread, so I may be way off.
Could it be that something was different with your leavening agent?

I could go for a seed exchange. I have always tried to save some of my seeds from my garden, if I have some good producers. With the drought this year I have fewer seeds, but those that did well are keepers.

I see a space alien with arms up and a horse behind it.

Healthy to me encompasses body & mind. I believe that if I do not require daily medical intervention (meds) to function and feel well, I am healthy. I also believe that I am responsible for my health, so I get outside every day, exercise regularly, am mindful of what I put in my mouth and try to control my stress.

Hi yall, new here. Keep reading labels, and they are getting harder to figure out what is in them. My rule: if I can not figure out what it is, I will not buy. Mostly try to get whole organic & clean 15 foods. I know organic does not mean as much as it use too.
No way I am going to buy/eat man-made meat.

Live on 2 acres in town, central OK. We have goats & chickens, 3 dogs a cat and lots of squirrels (squirrels are volunteer). Trying to garden, lots of chard, basil & brown cucumbers this year. Got a few tomatoes, zucchini and butternut squash before the voles took over. For my real job I am an insurance agent. I have my own agency on the property. And just for fun, I got a LGD puppy from a client. His Anatolian and Great Pyrenes had 9 puppies. My current LGD (same mix) is 7 years old, so the thought was that she could help teach the young one the ropes. I am trying to stop listening to the craziness in the news and convince hubby to do the same. Doing what I can to prep for whatever may happen. Talk to my young adult kids about taking care of themselves. I heard about LFIT this year, from TSP (started listening to TSP in 08, stopped for several years on started back when I was able to listen on my phone as I did my morning chores). Trying to learn as much as I can.

Hopefully they will get a second wind and produce some for me. Pepper pretty much the same, I see quite a few growing. Planting a fall garden, Cabbage again, broccoli, beets, peas, garlic and greens.
Now I am trying to figure out how to feed my 10 goats without hay. If we could find it, it would be $100 a bale. Going to try to make “hay” with weeds and tree leaves and limbs. I have to figure that one out.

I have short hair, so I just use about a tablespoon of the mix on my hand, get it wet in the shower and rub it all over my hair and scalp. Leave it in while I finish showering and then rinse it out. It cleans my hair, makes my coarse hair soft and gives my aging hair a little redish blond tint:)

I heard Billy on the Pimp cast the other day and he got me brain storming about hay. It is nowhere to be found around here and winter is coming. We don’t get much snow in central Oklahoma, but it does get too cold to have much of anything for my goats to graze, so we get hay. Not this year. I have to think about other things we can use.
We grew a 20×20 bed of corn to supplement the chicken feed. The stalks may supplement the goats. I have trees, oak, elm, mulberry and willow. I also have access to land that my goats graze on at times that have johnson grass, and various pasture weeds. I will try to cut/weed eat as much as I can gather and make corn/tree limb/weed hay. Anyone have experience with this ?

Interesting that it seems to start with the beak. I wonder if the turkey had gotten into something poisonous or with some terrible bacteria. Seem to be rotting.
