One thing I’m proud of is that my kids will fight each other for the chance to help someone. My children are spread out 10,11,18,23 and 30, so it’s almost always been a thing of my boys trying to get the high or heavy with my girls getting the low or the door. This certainly helps me now that I’m restricted in my own abilities and being disabled I know how meaningful those little gestures are. As a matter of fact I hadn’t realized how many angels God has placed in our daily lives until I became disabled. Those angels exist at food pantries, grocery aisles, parking lots and so forth.
Scripture says we’re created in God’s image and capable of miracles through him. Most of us consider that to be in the realm of seemingly impossible feats. We fail to recognize that simple acts of kindness are a miracle within themselves and can have an impact as great as healing the blind. That’s a little tid bit I think we should all express more.
I’m glad your day was blessed and I pray there are many more small blessings headed your way. 😊

Alternative ways to get seeds….
Buy produce from the Amish or Mennonite and save the seeds. Generally speaking you’ll get heirloom seed varieties cheaper and a higher quantity than from the store shelf packets.
Buy produce from organic food stores. It usually comes at a higher price and may not be cheaper than packets but still an optional seed resource.
Buy produce from your local grocery store and try the seeds. We wanted elephant garlic but I could only find bulb seeds online for $15.⁰⁰ to $17.⁰⁰ for a ½ lb. That’s rather steep for our budget but I’d watched a video of a guy that buys garlic from the store produce department and plants it. Wifey found some elephant garlic bulbs in the Walmart produce department for under $5.⁰⁰ a bulb. She bought 2 which weighed in at over ¾ of a pound. So put your thinking caps on and think outside the box.

To add to that I saw a video on YouTube where a guy bought dried beans at the grocery store and after sorting them he planted a few. The results were a successful harvest. Another guy I watched grows fodder for his rabbits and chickens. Rather than buying seeds in bulk online or from tractor supply he shops at a bird feeder store. He buys 5lb bags of birdseed and uses it to grow fodder as needed. He also gets 5lb bags of sunflower seeds. He uses some for fodder and some he plants in the garden so he has the seed heads to feed his critters in the winter.
With fruit & trees you might be able to find a friend who is pruning there’s. You can take the clipped branches and try putting them in a rooting compound.
The draw backs are that you may not necessarily no the name of the variety you end up with. If your goal is simply to grow food for yourself or your family though … does it really matter?
If you can’t find seeds or afford seeds, trees or bushes then search Google and YouTube for alternative ways to get seeds or propagate the plants you desire. Use phrases like “alternative ways”….”alternative methods to get”…. “ways to get seeds or trees” etc.
Good luck, good gardening and God bless!

Ya know… one of the many reasons I was looking forward to leaving my hometown metropolis behind was the opportunity to see more stars in the night sky. That’s one of the many things I fell in love with in the Ozarks. From our little homestead in progress I can see far more stars in the night sky and have more natural lighting at night which allows better night vision because I don’t have the light pollution like before. Okay… so why am I rambling about the night sky and how beautiful it is in the Ozarks when this is a discussion about Chem trails? Well it’s a simple observation. At any given point as a gaze at the night sky I may see an airplane or two passing through my field of view. What I don’t see however is Chem trails. Now we are told that Chem trails are a natural by-product from airplanes passing through the sky. So why is it there are no “natural” trails in the night sky? No “vapor” trails blocking the stars? If it’s a vapor trail then surely the cold night air being disturbed by jet engines would cause a similar effect. I’m no scientist or genius by any stretch I’m merely a commoner. I simply wonder… why are there no Chem trails ie vapor trails in the night sky if it’s a natural occurrence?

Well they ain’t angels at home lol.
Honestly I’m a blessed man. They have their phases but they’re overall good kids. Even if they use my last nerve as a jump rope some days 😂

I hate to hear that about your water. Like I said… the only think the government seems to make is more problems. A decent rain catchment with a good filter would probably give you far better water. Of course they probably don’t want you to do that…. for your own good ya know. Some cities will tell you it’s THERE water when it falls from the sky so YOU can’t collect it! IT’S THEIRS !!!!!! Let it flood your basement though and suddenly it doesn’t belong to them at all.

That’s one of the many reasons that lead us to moving. For years our area was “out in the county”. It was just out of the city jurisdiction and considered the county or country. Everyone had wells or county water, we all had septic and we all dealt with our trash. We either burned it, hauled it to the landfill our hired an independent to haul it off weekly. Well the city and county consolidated. Not long after it came out that the cities water system was falling apart and needed a complete overhaul. Since we were now “in the city” our water bill doubled. Then they tried to bill everyone out in the county for sewage despite our being on septic systems. The argument was it was part of the water system. The people fought so there wasn’t a “sewage” fee. Instead an “infrastructure” fee showed up adding another $10 or so to our bill. Then they added storm drain fees, water runoff you name it. Before the city took over the county our water bill was around $12 a month. When we left it was up to $65. We were still on a septic, couldn’t get a well permit and sewer lines were headed our way. We had a trashman that charged us $25 a month to empty up to 4 cans twice a week. The city installed trash service which added $380 to my tax bill. The service was a maximum 2 cans once a week. I was paying more for less and with a family of 6 (with diaper pails) I found myself hauling trash once or twice a month as well. On top of that the excuse was to make our city cleaner but the garbage trucks would empty cans, have stuff fall out and just leave it. Between that and what blew out of the truck it left our road covered with litter. Government just doesn’t know when to stop. Whatever they touch they generally make worse. Thus creating new problems, requiring new solutions that require more of your/our hard earned money. I do not miss the chemical laden city water I was over billed for. Our water is pumped from an artesian well. It’s sweet, cold, loaded with good minerals and otherwise clean. More than anything it’s cheap, refreshing and delicious.
