I think Mondays will become “Black Pill Mondays” for me on Spags’ meme thread. It’s a day I just get to dump little bits of uncomfortable reality on everyone and give y’all something to ponder at the beginning of the week. The rest of the week will be more humorous, uplifting and filled with solutions., I promise.

It’s October, people. Halloween is right around the corner; priorities, priorities!

Leftest need a class of people spun up in rage. Without it they would be out of business.

Your comment raises a question. Are we 100% sure that everyone you lump in to the category “leftists” are actually leftists? I have an inkling that many of the ones stirring up dissent are simply greedy global capitalists (that’s an ideology, NOT an economic theory). They don’t really care about the politics, beyond how they can be used to give them money and power.
-
Fair point, I tend to use leftists as a collective noun that encompasses those seeking to destroy individual rights and freedoms. For sure there is a significant population of evil ideology that just wants power over everyone that will subscribe to anything that get them that.
-
I think the best term is Progressives. There are progressive right wingers too. To be fair, there are far more progressive left wingers, and they tend to be far more ravenous with how they attack their enemies and easy to identify. The danger in right wing progressives is that no one sees them for what they are. I think that to be a globalist, or part of that ruling elite, you must be progressive. No true conservative, liberal, libertarian or anarchist can be a part of globalist progressive thought.
-
I am coming around to the use of “Progressive” when talking about these groups. The left/right paradigm doesn’t fully cover an explanation of it all anymore.
-
Traditionally, it’s the left wing however, that participates in most identify politics. That I think is the point @Billt21 was alluding to? So it’s the left wing of progressive politics that spins one group of “disenfranchised people” against another in order to divide a society.
-
Yes. Also it started as GAB thing to differentiate between a classical liberal (almost a unicorn these days) and the radical left.
-
Man, I can absolutely fellowship with a Jeffersonian liberal. But as you say…unicorns.
Libertarians are as close as it gets and frankly, most of them smell funny…hahaha. (I worked with the Kansas LP for a few years and it consisted of nudists and pot smoking gun owners. But rarely did they see eye to eye on thing that wasn’t their “issue”).
I stick to agorism and voluntaryism these days and make friends where I can.

My reaction is usually confused and disappointed. Words become so loaded that the words themselves become meaningless. What is a liberal? What is a conservative? Everyone has their own definition.
-
Indeed. Words have meaning and society has lost the art of speaking with purpose.
