My husband and I have learned that it is impossible to ever have too many hoses, 5 gallon buckets, fence wire or compost on a homestead.

Hori hori, rice knife, broadfork. Pitchfork probably gets the most daily use though.

year round my favorite tool is my battery power chain saw, with a click of the button I can remove any tree that’s not the right kind or not in the right place, make it into firewood for later use. Can’t tell you how many lopper I have destroyed before my chain saw. Maybe one day I will try a little chain saw carving.

One of my favorite tools is the Duc plow. It makes weeding between rows in a large garden go much faster than using a hoe and doesn’t use gas like a tiller would. You can find it at this website: https://www.speedupwithduc.com/https://www.speedupwithduc.com/

Definitely my Skidsteer even if it’s a tired old machine. Dug my entire basement with it this winter.

Mine started as a 1988 plain jane 36 volt club car bought for $300 since it didn’t work. I got it going and started modifying it’s a blast to drive and more handy than anyone would realize. Long as it’s at least reasonably sunny, 50-50% sun clouds and I stay on property I never need to plug it in. Now I go running to the neighbors more than two three times in a week then I have to charge it’s 4 miles round trip.

My husband said his tractor, tiller, and FEL are where it’s at!

Going inside to my area…I’d have to say my favorites are the freeze dryer, dehydrator, and my All-American canner.
