Hi ! I’m wondering if anyone here can help me discover what a “going rate” us for true cantaloupes/heirloom french melon varieties. Preferably in the Midwest, but to just have any idea would be helpful. How much more they go for/are priced compared to regular muskmelon “cantaloupe”, and not a rare variety of those ( and all mine are organically grown but not certified etc. ). Have tried “googling” it, from the vantage of buying some, all I get are sources for the seeds or articles about them. They smell AMAZING by the way, most of them, and definitely taste differently than what we Americans normally think of as a cantaloupe, with rave reviews from cantaloupe lovers I know, and I myself who hates muskmelon ( tho their smell had been growing on me) can actually eat these ! Thanks.

One of the ways I’ve heard to find an appropriate price is #1) make sure you’re not losing money and #2) If no one complains it’s too high, raise the price.

I have yet to meet a cantaloupe or muskmelon I like. I am no help as for all I see in my area are in grocery stores and everything there is high

What are the prices of organic melons in your area? Use that as a base and increase appropriately.
