I did a test of this and it works!…
I am thinking that I could use this combined with electrical conduit for long time labels that the sun will not destroy.

We bought some indent a tags and used similar to this. The thing that foiled it was apparently the deer liked chewing on the tags. Then we couldn’t read it anyway. . .Keep a journal on your farm with a map of your trees with them labeled.

Invite the deer to Thanksgiving dinner with them on the table. 🙂 I just did the pop can method and think I will continue with it…
I do want to experiment with using the dremil to carve the indent or make holes..
A map is a good idea, I was even thinking of a laser engraver on stainless steel.
