I first found DSH as I was looking for reviews for the Easy Digger Broadfork and found y’alls review. It was February of 2020. As the world was falling apart around us, I really enjoyed the calm demeanor of Danny doing his Porch Time videos. I went back to older videos and found that Danny had predicted the things that were happening years before.

As I already have a water purification device, I would like Ms Lippy’s trio if I were to be chosen. I live in Okaloosa County Florida, 8 miles from the Gulf.

I met people who flew to Memphis from Oregon, then rented a car and drove to Camden. Another couple drove down from upstate NY. My drive was only 7 hours(NW FL) so I felt kind of blessed. lol

Most panels, even new ones don’t get their rated power. The testing is done under ideal temps and light conditions, perfect angle, etc. If you get ~75% of their rating, you’re doing good and it seems like you are.

I’ve been looking into doing this and scavenged a 30 gallon electric water heater, and bought some DC rated heating elements. I don’t live at my off-grid property yet, but when I do I’m goning to experiment. Thanks for the info so far.

I also bought a couple of the solar water heating panels and will try to incorporate them. Hot showers will be a great luxury off-grid. lol

I store seeds in an old pickle jar in the fridge. Last year(2021) I planted some from 2002 and had about 90% overall germination rate except for some lettuce which only had about a 10% rate. The tomatoes had a 100% and so did all of the flowers.
