Wow! I don’t normally listen to podcasts. But 5 minutes into this Perma pastures podcast I had to pause it and grab my notebook and pencil! It was so helpful. I sketched out my property with what I have keeping in mind what I want for the future! I have only been on my property for just over a year and have zone 1-3 pretty much established. Looking at it on paper, the possibilities are endless. It really helped with focus and eliminating a little bit of overwhelm to write it down. Thanks again!

I love it! I will still have my traditional garden rows and raised beds but, this is taking it to a whole other level I’m going to start this week with the permaculture. I need to get myself some comfrey now!

The other day I looked it up and I believe it said my first frost date would be October 15th. I am in Northeast North Carolina I believe that’s growing zone 6A? Now I’m doubting myself! LOL

Okay! I wasn’t even thinking about the tree line. I snapped a quick picture of a small portion of a side of yard. I guess the only thing I’d be worried about would be the wildlife eating it up before I got to! I am like on day one of figuring out what permaculture is! I really do appreciate the assistance!

I agree with a majority of what you just said. Danny has alluded to the fact that he doesn’t want to scare people or cause a panic. And I am sure bad news may cause some to panic. But, on the flip side, broadcasting that it’s going to get bad or something bad is coming and just leaving it hang there causes just as much fear and panic to the other half of the viewing audience. I realize the truth may be scary. But I also realize that we all deserve the truth. Deep South Homestead is the very first YouTube channel I ever subscribed to. I love Danny and Wanda. I subscribe to Deep South Homestead for answers and solutions. Sometimes I come away with the feeling that they think I/we are not worthy of the truth. It can be a bit hurtful and condescending.

Yes, I do! It appears the only thing I’m lacking is skill! I will overcome! Thank you so much for all of the information. 😁

Incredible video. I can’t wait to get up in the morning and try that! I have another spare grounding rod! I don’t know if that will solve my problem but I will definitely take that information into my future! Thanks again

Thank you! I will check out that video!

Thank you. I damn near blew out my shoulder pounding those multiple foot long copper rods into the ground! LOL Question: do you have to run multiple levels of wire? Or, will one electric wire around the fencing perimeter be sufficient? I did not use metal t post. I cheaped out and bought plastic ones. Could that be my problem? I’m usually pretty good at figuring things out but this has me struck dumb!

I am the owner of a real estate brokerage and property management company operating in the state of Virginia. I strongly agree with your thoughts. Just a little insight based on decades of experience: typically the fall/winter is the best time to purchase residential real estate/land. Owners who have had their property listed for an extended period of time are more open to negotiations at the end of the year. That being said, in this current economy, unless you are prepared to negotiate with a low cash offer, NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BUY! For all other buyer prospects that require financing, hold tight! The market is making a turn. The housing market will crash. It will be in your best interest to hold the line where you are until the prices bottom out. While you wait, sell everything you possibly can! Get out of debt! Cut your cable and other subscription services. Adopt a minimalist lifestyle and Bank some cash. Be ready to capitalize on the extraordinary foreclosure market that is on the way! Spend your time preparing now. It will be well worth it.

😂 I have one still out there that haunts me daily. I know he’s still out there limping with lead in his left ass cheek. He took out a lot of my squashes: butternut, spaghetti and one pumpkin! He’s like the chupacabra of my garden world! Next time Punxsutawney…. Next time.
