Sorry to hear you are frustrated, I would be happy to help you learn how to navigate the site. There are a lot of features and multiple ways to navigate which can be helpful once you figure it out. This is also a new site with a lot of information, questions, replies coming fast and furious so that can be a little overwhelming as well. If it would help, we can schedule a call and I can walk you thru tools and how best to use it.

Here are some suggestions:
1) Have the “Complete Your Profile” box hide after the member has completed the list, can expand the Recent Updates box into that area if the CYP box is hidden.
2) Allow members to edit their comments.
3) Allow members to set a default group such as their state sub-group. You can get this from My Group menu but if you click on the communities tab, you have to make a few more clicks to get back to your state group
4) Have the time stamps show in the members time zone
None of these items are critical just my former UI testing self noticed, overall the platform is fantastic! For being a platform that has just been released it is pretty amazing!

You could also create sub lists such as Gardening – Growing zone, In ground, Raised Beds, High Tunnel; Chickens – French Bresse, American Bresse, etc. As the groups continue to grow this would help direct you to the people in your area that have experience in these topics.

He has put together a solar system for us on a separate circuit that will provide power to critical items like our refrigerator, freezer, well pump, some lights, etc. It won’t run our HVAC system but will run a mini split in a separate room. I have no idea how it all works but he can answer questions you might have.

You’re going to have to hide this post, my husband @Private_Cluck is going to be drooling, he wants one for his tractor! 🚜

Very nice! Thank you for all your efforts in making this a great platform!

Good for you!

Absolutely! We bought our property in 2010 and only did a 12 year loan, then saved as much as we could to build our house with our savings so no house note. When all of my co-workers, family and friends were going on vacation, we would go to our property and work there. Just paid off our property this year!

Nice to meet you Debra! Sounds like your husband needs to drink more tea so he can rest! Love your photos, y’all built an amazing space! We thought when we retired, or in my case semi-retired, that we would have lots of time to sit around on the porch! But with the garden, the orchard, my pollinator gardens, honey bees, installing solar panels, moving my mom to a house on our property to care for her and planning on putting in a high tunnel this fall, it keeps us busy! But so much better life than the 9 to 5, traffic, rat-race we were living before!

My husband and I want to purchase a high tunnel kit but need to find help getting it put up. We’re were just discussing the other day how nice it would be to know other people in our area that could help each other out like an old fashioned barn raising!
