Love my sheep. I started with Jacob sheep, but having a problem finding a sheep Shearer. So found the Barbados black belly sheep. I decided to breed my two favorite sheep. and got my first cross bred lamps this year. All of them came out hair sheep. Very happy.

I would love to see homegrown herbalist on here. He’s a veterinarian and an herbalist. He treats animals and people. He could answer the questions people are asking about their animals health and issues as well as give advice to people for theirs. He’s recently been a guest on homesteading Family YouTube channel and has his own YouTube channel

I use a mineral Salt Lick safe for sheep. It’s from Redmond salt company. I sometimes give them char and they get some minerals from tree bark as well. they love tree bark

Yes, I crossed the Jacobs and the black belly. They came out mostly black with some white. I’m waiting to see what body type they grow into. Both breeds are excellent foragers.

Yep, it is not easy. I’ve been blessed though because my mom lives in my house and does the canning. She’s in her seventies so is very limited to what she can do.

Mealworms are super easy. My biggest problem with them is just not forgetting them completely. all you need is a container, rolled oats, and I use carrots for their water.

I agree, and I felt like the silver that I was stockpiling was basically worthless to me. I took almost all my silver and traded it in for sterling silverware which actually has health benefits. Now it has value to me.

That’s awesome. He is local for me, but I haven’t been to his store yet, but plan on going this Tuesday.
