My brother (seeing through walls, liberal socialist bleeding heart democrat lawyer) was talking to me about DEI ….and I had to look it up. (Diversity, equality and inclusion)
I kind of like being so out of the loop that I don’t know the hip buzzword acronyms.

This is such an amazing culture on this site. So much great information positioned like low-hanging fruit. How uplifting it is.

I looked online and it looks like their most recent outbreak was March……2022. I think you’re safe.

I am not finding any hatchery listed as ,”Freedom Hatchery”.
I did find a PA “Freedom Ranger Hatchery”.
Would this be the one you are discussing?
-
I would wait.
Rationale: an egg NOT pipped will not shrink wrap if humidity is good and the incubator isn’t open long. Your chicks at risk are the ones who are pipped but not zipped. They could still have some viable membrane vessels that could bleed with an assisted hatch at this stage. (Ask me how I know…) Quail chicks aren’t terribly coordinated until about a day old. I would check before bed tonight to see if the pipped have hatched.
And IF you have a break in the action all either hatched or full shell, without pips, clear out some shells and put your humidity shield on then.
The edge of the humidity well looks high enough that they shouldn’t kamikaze into the water, but Zack from Myshire Farm says quail find new and interesting ways to kill themselves all the time. He also says chicks scuba dive, but they can’t swim.
You are diligent and will use good judgement. All quail owners possess incredible discernment 😁

The Firefox books take me back, as does a log fire and crochet. The basement garden wouldn’t be possible without the fancy schmancy lights, which makes winter greens possible without the store, but a permanent serious greenhouse would be wonderful. I am using old ways to fertilize. Turning compost, making bio-char and Dave’s Fetid Swamp water fertilizers. Low tech for high results. It could be a motto.

You have the envy of fertilizers everywhere. Your garden will be marvelous!

OMG Monkey 1, you weren’t kidding. I was sure this was a cleverly made up drug. Little did I know, I was right. Boo! Also auditory and visual hallucinations and “loss of heat from the body”? I thought they called that being dead. Only been a nurse a little over 30 years, so I may have missed that nuance when I worked ER and rapid response. I am still a pure blood, and my pastor who believes in the sanctity of life has taken a 5th vaccine. (Aborted fetal tissue lines are used in either the R or the D in the R&D phase for all three vaxx manufacturers) We are the most over medicated society with 80% of our drug constituent compounds coming from China. All they have to say is No to the container ship 3 months in a row and it would be chaos and bedlam over here, and herbalists would be elevated to stratospheric pedestals.

Exactly. Some states don’t have hatcheries.

Every time I see your name I smile! 😁

If you have any biochar for your bunny to nibble on, it is pure carbon that absorbs toxins. If it is a worm problem, give the bunny some pumpkin seeds to nibble on, since pumpkin is out of season. Pumpkin is a natural wormer. Maybe put a dash of ACV with the mother in it in his water to help his gut biome.

I absolutely treasure my Freesteading family. I have emotional support animals. They just happen to have beaks and feathers, and give me breakfast ❤️
