Absolutely! It didn’t hurt me when I was young. Feeding bottle calves on a dairy farm was one of my first jobs. It gives them a sense of belonging to something bigger than themselves. It teaches responsibility. My grandsons, 12 and 8, both work on the family 2000 acre farm in Indiana. The older drives vehicles from field to field. He can move the semi around too. They both work in the feed store loading feed for customers, writing tickets, and taking inventory. No computer here. Great application of their daily homeschooling lessons. Hard work never hurt a kid, it builds character.

Stocking up on next winters firewood for us and my 80+ year old parents. Expanding the garden. Improving current greenhouse and hopefully getting another one. Adding more raised beds to my kitchen garden. Getting 3 feeder calves for us and 2 adult children. We have the infrastructure for it, they don’t. Stain the off grid cabin, 124 square feet. Pretty good goals for a 66 year old man and a 61 year old woman that is struggling with vertigo.

Heavy spraying yesterday in EC Indiana. Storms coming today. Fast moving cold front with quickly dropping temperatures. And I’m on the couch with terrible vertigo. It happens every time.

Frigid here in Indiana. Winds 25-35 mph gusts. Temps -8, windchill -35+. Well stocked on firewood, water heater for chickens and cat. Chickens were kept inside the coop. Stay warm and safe everyone.

UPDATE… she came through the surgery with flying colors. She has been up walking and eating. She should get to go home in a couple days. Currently she has been living in her own home until now. My sister-in-law will stay with her as long as needed. Thank you all for the prayers. And praise God He is still caring for His people.
