When someone posts a note in a group, it appears in that group feed and in the activity feed as well.

Well, we can’t turn back time, but we can do something. We can show honor to our grandparents/forefathers/ancestors by being the example to our children/neighbors/friends in the way that we conduct ourselves and pass on the knowledge and skills that impressed us as we grew up. I still hold the door open for others that are entering a store behind me. “Yes ma’am” and “no sir” are part my normal way of speaking – it’s a habit I was taught as a youngster. Get something off the top shelf for the short lady or the man in a wheelchair in the grocery store. I’ve found that kindness goes a long way, and really doesn’t cost us anything – but makes us feel like we have made a small difference. You never know if the “Good Morning” to the clerk might be the nicest thing they have heard yet that day. Just my 2 cents.

A lot of NW Florida scrub oak/pine tree areas are sandy on the surface with clay sub-soil that holds these pockets of water. The wildlife used them, and as they dry up they change their water source to more permanent sources. I would doubt there is a spring (but it is possible). I’m in Washington county, just a bit east of your area, grew up here in the “sand hills” of the panhandle. and would suggest you continue to look for a water source instead of depending on the one pictured. Just my 2 cents, wish I had better news for you!

I did a lot of research and testing on HHO generation on demand, but never looked much into the Sterling.

I think you found a “keeper” there! And once you get to know how to get the temperatures just right, you should have many years of fine meals!

Red clover benefits are nitrogen fixation and weed suppression. It will re-seed itself. If you want to help honeybees, plant white clover instead – the bees can get to the nectar/pollen in white clover, but the red clover blooms are not shaped such that the bees can get much out of them. They will absolutely cover up a patch of white clover.

Hello everyone – I know I’m late to this discussion, but, let me add a bit here – from beekeeping and allergy experience. One of the keys that often gets overlooked is to find a local honey source and work with them to not only get honey from the spring nectar flow but also some from the fall flow. Most of the honey they offer is from the spring because the fall flow is generally left for the bees to use for over-wintering, and the spring nectar flow is usually bigger than the fall. By getting some honey from the fall plants you ingest some pollen that helps build up some resistance to the late bloomers. Also, with severe allergies, it takes a longer time to build up the resistance needed to reduce your symptoms and your body’s reaction to the influx of the allergens. One more thing, at least this medicine tastes good!

I was on the Tag and Bee live chat Friday night and he wanted suggestions – I asked about a seed saving project for Freesteaders – he really like the idea, has been talking about it and knows that it does need to be done. We all understand that he doesn’t have time to take that on, but at the same time – it is important. We all need good seeds.

Sorry! I watched the video, it looks just like the property around here – and your profile showed Santa Rosa county – my assumption was not correct. Good luck finding water. I’m looking into catching rainwater when I get the new barn roof into place too…

Hey there – I’ve seen my sister-in-law use her Cricut machine – it is a table-top X and Y axis cutting machine for thin materials. She was making a crossword puzzle quilt and the font was just like the letters you see on the Scrabble game tiles. Seems like it would accept materials about a foot wide into the cutting area. Hope that helps.
