Let’s talk comfrey. I understand it multiplies like crazy. I was able to get a large amount last year from a wonderful lady. I’m worried if I plant it along a fence line that it’ll creep into the yard. The hubby would not be happy. He doesn’t care for my WEEDS. He’s softening on some things, but there’s a lot of compromises made on both sides. So what can I do to contain it? I don’t know the species of comfrey which puts me in a heightened state of panic. I don’t know if this one spreads by the roots or seeds.
I’ve been trying to get comfrey for 3 years! Now that I have it, I want to get it settled correctly the first time.

I’ve been looking into these myself. I’ve read several reviews that say the plastic upper part of the trays doesn’t last. Many have said that one summer out in the elements made them brittle and crack. I’m looking into 100% silicone seed pots. They are more expensive, but the cleanup and durability of them should outlast me. I’ve found a few on Amazon, but I think I’ll take the advice of another reply and check with garden shops directly. I would imagine that they would have the latest, greatest products. Thanks for bringing these up for review. I’m not a soil block-using gal, so I’m on the hunt for long-lasting seed pots to use year after year after year. ππ

Is ceramic cold in the winter? We are consistently below zero outside and we have an unfinished basement. I would think that any kind of tile would be freezing underfoot in the winter. We don’t have a wood stove and in our rambler, the heating vents are at the top of the wall, not on the floor.

I don’t want something permanent. I would think that an epoxy floor laid on top of the wood subfloor would be labor-intensive to remove. What do you think?

Have you had any issues with the floating hardwood now that you’ve converted it to a less formal area? I mean now that it’s getting more everyday life use? Hubz would like the wood, but I’m not a big fan of having the same flooring throughout the entire house. I like each room to have it’s own look. Whether that’s color or texture.
