I greatly admire how that family works together, and how creative they are. I also adore rocket stoves.

The US dollar is history. It is dead, and we are about to find out that our bank accounts are worthless.. Hyper inflation, then push us into the new CBDC… ( online in July )..

Indeed all part of the plan to destroy our economy.

    Questions,

    Why were reporters arrested?

    https://news.yahoo.com/reporter-arrested-during-news-event-142934753.html

Why did they not tell us for 10 days?

What else are they not telling us?

Now roadkill is great to feed black soldier fly larva, then they can feed your chickens πŸ™‚ I don’t harvest road kill myself. Yeah I have been listening to preparedness channels for years and have put way stuff. I have been targeting growing food because it is my greatest expense of my budget, but then again I eat organic, so I pay the price for that. Finding cheaper places to buy from sounds good as well…

I am now up to 4 vacuum sealers πŸ™‚ went to a garage sale and there on the table was a sealer, a large mouth jar sealer with cord, with some bags for $5.00 I just could not say no πŸ™‚ do i need a 12 step program? LOL

  • Yes, that is true Paul started with wood chips, I run a group on MeWe for Back to Eden Gardening, and Deep Mulch method.

I have found that the magic starts when you combine nitrogen with the wood chips from like chicken manure. One needs to have a constant supply of wood chips to really make them work, I have been moving toward growing my own mulch with Bolivian sunflowers and leaves here in Florida. These provide a constant supply of cover for the soil which I have an abundance of. I don’t always have a constant wood chips myself, but I do have a constant supply of leaves.

I did go whole hog into wood chips… It is a good exercise program πŸ™‚

Yeah, I track with Mike Adams, he is not always right, but often he reports things that connects the dots. It has got me to thinking about that value of stock piles, as say a chemical event happens, having a stock pile of food that is chemical free could be life saving. As I recall from Joel Salitan, he kept 2 years ahead for hay for his animals…. I imagine having that kind of stockpile has made the difference in making $, and not making $.

Yeah, That is why I did a double take, when I found out that this was from people who have been doing chickens for decades, I came to realize this is not newbies complaining, this is old timers that really know their flocks.

Yeah, I have been watching videos on biochar for a long time. It seems to not be better than compost rich soil, but if you have sand like I do, then it can be wonderful for bacteria and fungi to have a hotel to live in. I keep my char in my worm bin to inoculate. I have been trying to go past using weeds for compost, instead using fodder crops that have a proven record of feeding plants, like comfrey, bolivian sunflower, mulberry leaves, and I have been working on growing alfalfa. I believe that if we target plants that support plants in a proven measure we can take the tea to the next level. Constant rotation on fields does seem to work when you find the right combo, and work with the soil.

Yeah, I collect vacuum sealers from garage sales, I have 3 of them now, and RainCountry sparked me into getting the brake pump. I have it on the shelf for an emergency, but one of the older ones I have works the best for me, so I plan on wearing it out before I goto the other fall back methods.

Yep. I have played with alum batteries as well, but if I was going back to lead acid I would consider carbon foam… They look amazing.

I do respect your choice. Lead acids do have a proven history.

I am in Florida, golf cart central πŸ˜‰ I spent about 5 years making my own battery chargers to desulfate lead acid batteries. When I came to Florida, I started my solar system by getting trojan 8v batteries for $16 each. This was the scrap value then these were batteries that were old and were on their last leg. It was from this system, I learned solar. I topped up lots of electrolyte in these batteries. From there I moved to Electric Vehicle lithium batteries. I buy slightly used lithium batteries for $100 a KWH, I have over 25 KWH of storage now in a 24v, and 36v systems. I have done lots of research on lithium batteries and I treat them very well, and they have treated me awesome for running my AC, my well pump, and my table saw.

For me lithiums well managed is the way to go as I have large capacity, and can take the batteries much lower than you can with lead acid batteries. Lead acid batteries do work, but I am glad to get away from filling electrolyte in those batteries.

Lithims have to be kept warm to charge them, and you have to think about possiblity of fire, but so far, they have done me right, others may choose a different route…. I am interested in the new lead – carbon foam batteries. They can be taken to zero volts and they keep right on going with no degradation. So much battery tech coming out hard to know what is real, and what is scams.
