My solution was to pack everything up in pods Then go to where I wanted to live, and rent a place week to week until I found what I wanted. I looked at cost of taxes, cost of insurance, as the first circles I drew, next was the need for fast internet, then next to grocery store or job as the case may be, then you drive every street. I think for you you have to find the locations that are free… Indian reservations do not have the same laws as the laws of code, and you can build a home anyway you want on that property if you can work out a deal with the tribe. You can look where Earthships have been built as they have to have lots of freedom to build those, or look on youtube for others who live off grid. Normally the more rural the location is, the less eyes, the more freedom, but you have to do your research.

I used to use weeds, but now I moved to fodder crops, tree hay.
Bolivian sunflower, grows here in Florida with zero fertilizer and grows over 15 foot tall.
Mulberry trees, easy to root from cuttings, gives fruit, and the leaves high in protein.
Comfrey proven with teas to be effective for plants, I have trouble growing it here in Florida, but fantastic plant for feeding other plants.
You can use weeds, but you risk spreading more weeds, if you use fodder crops that grow like weeds you end up with a much better product, or identify the weeds with a phone app, if they are edible then they may be a good crop to feed your compost.
I use bananas here in Florida whole plant as the earth worms adore them.

I think the first thing to do is find your static level of your wells, and know how deep you are pumping the water from, and how many amps on each leg of the 240v is pulling. Water is life, and having a backup plan will keep life. You may be able to run your setup off a generator. On my system which is not a deep well, I went with a 120v, but my static level is only 35 feet down.
I agree with the suggestion of “practicle preppers” it is a great channel on Youtube for info on solar and well pumps.

From the slavery of Egypt, to the promised land! Been there, done that, God has a way of taking Joseph from prison to the leader of Egypt, it is just the way He works….
Congrats on the new job!

Temp peaked at 139 deg F, for 20 gal, per the data I am reading I am putting in 800 – 900 watts of power to get this temp change. It is good to have a baseline of what is possible.

This is an overview of the system, I like the kiddie pool method the best from the RGGS.

If you are on facebook I imagine that group would still be very active.

Yep… That is the key…. Also have to have a plan for when there is too much wind how you will deal with it. Some wind turbines are designed for that, others have to have a dump load.

After experimenting, I am starting to think the cheap snail trail panels from san tan solar hooked in series would work like a champ for this. Please share with use your progress.
