I have some ISA Browns and some Plymouth Rocks an# they are both very good and productive hens. Also good if you want your hens to have a good personality although my ISA Browns to seem a little more docile. I started my flock March of 2022 with 12. I am able to provide eggs to my parents, wifes parents, nieves and nephews, my pastor and a few others every now and then. My chickens are still young and in still averaging 6 to 6.5 dozen every 2 weeks. I know i enjoy my chickens and I think you will as well.

I love to can beans. I only soak them over night and then can them up. With my health issues i can have control over whats in it and keep out the salt, sugar and other preservatives out of it. Its a good day project but will provide my family ready to eat beans for at least 2 years. I also really enjoy my canned tomatoes. Although, the tomatoes do take alot more work.

My problem is family and others not returning the cartons.

I do get some from church members but they mostly bring 18 count egg cartons. I really don’t like packaging up 18 eggs in one carton.

I just checked the webstaraunt link posted above and it was by far the cheapest. If you buy the case of 240 cartons its only $0.20 a carton.
