Cara Comini is great for simplifying the GAPS diet. She’s written a cookbook or 2.

Probiotics with prebiotics are also needed, like a capsule

Kefir and yogurt — homemade is great

Sauerkraut, kimchi, pickled carrots, red onions, anything that grows a culture the more variety the better

Tubers—the diff fibers and resistant starches from a variety of tubers are prebiotic

Sourdough is great but prob not tolerated till u heal some.

I’m sure the USDA appreciated that talk! Lol

Is it Ancel Keys you’re talking about?

It’s a very simple method, as explained in HF also. U add a tbsp of whey and then let the mayo ferment 8 hrs on counter. It doesn’t taste any different.

More lemon or vinegar would not do the job. Neither does more salt.

We just don’t eat mayo except for creamy salad dressings…deviled eggs, potato n mac salads are maybe 4x a yr happenings; sliced or deli meat sandwiches never happen; tunafish, egg salad or chicken salad is rare. We’s just broke lol Dressing isn’t needed alot last 6 months as salad fixings are out of budget.

My daughter went thru a spate of deli meat buying so then she used mayo.

So rly look at do u need mayo even? If ur eating pbjs mostly or beans n rice at lunch n it’s not picnic time either, prob just buying a small jar will more than suffice. If u can find a brand that doesn’t spoil unopened <<messing with our food>>

How bizarre! Our food is changing. I can’t find meat that isn’t weird. Until we starve, they’re trying to give us awful food to pretend with.

I’ve been perusing very cheap meals YT vids to find ideas for making things that are different.

Also vary ur flavors. Greek Italian Chinese Indian German Mexican —- have diff tweaking of herbs etc. Some have diff bases. These are what make diff cuisines those cuisines.

Try making a no grain meal. Try making salad main course meals. Learn to cook a mess of greens, all diff kinds of greens.

Farmhouse on Boone is a great YT channel for recipe ideas in a family household. She uses a diff methodology.

    Remove grains

    Not gluten but GRAINS

    I guarantee it’ll clear up

But no one will go off grains

It may even take a month to clear totally, but grains of today are not.good.to.eat. Soy is right behind. (Try to find nonsoy eggs lol)

Dairy is only a cause when it’s CAFO dairy. Raw A2 dairy esp cultured, no problems generally. It may take weeks n weeks to mos of healing before u see the diff real dairy makes n the problems CAFO dairy causes.

It takes long time for gut to heal.

Ppl will say oh I went grainfree but it didn’t make a diff. That’s becuz they didn’t stick to it long enough to get relief. It’s VERY hard to do at first, in our culture. It requires a total mindshift.

Homeopathics help some ppl JoetteCalabrese.com is great free site with a paid section too n courses n books for sale.

I used to think heaven would be a small bedroom off the kitchen, wall to wall books with my bed on a pallet on the floor. I was a widow so was just thinking of me. I was always in the kitchen, with or without kids. We didn’t have tv. This was when internet was even pretty rare. It got more common n I was on it but for kitchen things lol – ok, ok and homeschooling as a widow ie HELP!

No I don’t as now my body’s failing me lol But thanx for the thought. Some of us just do not got this. Ain’t for lack of trying but we will be/are the burdens ppl fear so much to have to contend with. My one hand swelling now (why? Dunno) doesn’t even let me cook more n more often. Cooking/baking is my one lifelong passion.

Just a perspective on those not able, once the grid goes or simple chaos hits. Thank God my 2 still at home are both able to earn money now, though I hate not being able to have it happen in a safer method like a 2 parent family could provide in majority of situations.

And then there’s the hurt of being lied to ur face that “you complete me”, knowing it’s a lie while he speaks it. A baldfaced lie, yet what you truly wanted, at one point. It’s like a slap.

I’m almost 3 yrs into my complete and utter *so done* and see no light at end of my tunnel. It’s just me and 2 older teens… So I’ve learned to feel cozy with no light. Honestly no chance for meeting anyone (I even work with all women lol) and my age keeps me unapproachable in case anyone cared anyway lol Old women have no value in the US but that’s ok. I’m not asking for anyones stamp. Just “waiting on” my Lord and Savior, the Lover of my soul. He is enough 🙂

I have a pinched nerve at my C3&4 caused by a bone spur, so I relate. I never felt the TENS did much if at all. Chiro doesn’t touch it. Massage did zero. Of course pain meds don’t touch nerve pain so I’m just in pain (unless I go to Rxs and I’m not). I’ve lost most my finger and hand strength even on opposite side now (of course my affected side too) as the overcompensation has led to injury and/or I’ve developed more pinched nerves. My arm strength is moot as pain will result so I don’t go there but for absolute need like working as a salesclerk/stocker. I used to be quite strong compared to friends that had husbands.

Sry to ramble, just was like HEY someone who gets it!
