We grew an abundance of garlic this year and I tried making it too. It looks fine but I’m unclear as to whether we are supposed to eat the cloves or use the honey? I didn’t make much and since the honey is only supposed to cover the garlic cloves by an inch, that isn’t much honey to use.

Fortunately I am better at gardening then computers – this is my raised bed/container garden winding down this Fall.

This year was my first year with voles. Sadly, I think they brought their extended family and all their friends. I don’t like to kill them, so I have a “Have a Heart” trap. Catching and releasing them far away from the house. I thought maybe they were coming back so my daughter and I marked a couple with a blue sharpie, but they didn’t come back. Also, the ones I let go run in the opposite direction of the house and yard and those guys are fast! All the videos I watched about deterrents seem to drive them to other parts of the yard and I have more then one garden area so I think they will just go after the other areas. I’m hoping when winter comes that they move on. I think I will try the other person’s ideas and plant things that they don’t like the smell of and scatter them in all the beds.
