I would like a reference section that includes maps that are asked often.

I have a video on Crazy Dazes in YT where I talk with a local midwife who has caught hundreds of babies over 30 years. She is a wealth of knowledge. Renata’s Story. We are planning another video soon with more details on finding midwifes in your area and the process for young mothers to be to transition to having a home birth.

I love my freeze dryer but it was a learning curve. Never overfill the tray.
Don’t do popsicles! Lesson learned in cleanup!
Our humidity is so high that i don’t run it when rainy.
The faster you get it from the freeze drier in the bag and sealed the better. One tray at a time. Again humidity issue here.
Small fan in our motor all the time while running.
I always extend the time 6 plus hours according to how much moisture was in the food.
Defrost after each user. Clean water out of machine and tube after ever use.

I agree with Moe on basement or cellar, not only for food storage but in some locations to escape from the intense heat and radiation coming from the sun. We had a small preview this summer. We couldn’t stay outside without feeling like our skin was in fire. If in an area to build one, make it happen.

We spent time teaching our granddaughter about simple things, good food and enjoying what God had blessed her with. Then checking out the flooding and doing damage control. Later talking with new friends and enjoying the conversation.

Working daily to feed ourselves, protect ourselves and stopping for a break by the pond to enjoy the fruits of our labor. It has to be a combination of skills and relaxation to daily keep the Faith and not look back. Thanks Spags
