I only had that happen when I tried the rings with the blue seal. None of my ForJars or Ball have done that. If interested in ForJars, I have links in the descriptions of our videos on Crazy Dazes and Deep South. I may comment here on either. I forget to switch. But Loving the app

I, too looked at the statements. Lots of possible hype. The do filter, all of them. According to what you want filtered out, Berkey requires 2 filters. One article showed the white filter leaches aluminum back into the water. That was disturbing. Maybe that issue has been addressed somewhere and taken care of. If you know, post here.

Alexa Pure, which we use, claims to be up to the required standards. But did not say it was tested by that company but 3rd party testing. Seems they are all treated by 3rd party, not a bad thing.

At this point, it is personal preference on which to use. Each one has their good points, each one has a couple of issues.

Both claim their filters are USA made.

Wegot about a quarter of an inch. Early this morning a quick thunder and lightning storm came through. At least 1 inch of the soil is wet.

I will NOT use the blue seal. I tested them for the company. They failed first canner. Exploded the rings off in the first 5 minutes of pressure. I do not recommend them.
