I plant early, then plant again if they get killed off by frost. I don’t trust it getting warmer and tend to think we may be headed into more cold.

Nice. Johnson-Su is too much trouble for me, but we do love scraping up the compost in the chicken run for our beds.

Though freshwater fish are good, I believe saltwater ones are best due to the higher mineral content in the ocean.

You can split them open or plant the entire pit, but stratification helps a lot.

Thanks. It’s a combination of planting plants suited to the climate, along with paying attention to the soil. Both of those together make the systems much more resilient.

If the parent tree has good peaches, the children likely will as well. I started dozens of trees from one named variety – all of the resulting peaches from the next generation which I got to try were good. Size and color varied a bit, but they were all nice.
