  • I’m not sure why this showed up here on my group discussion ether. Maybe it has been hacked as well. I am in the process of writing 2 books myself and with my background in computer repairs and field service. The code is very suseptabe to failure and flaws. Just would rather write it on legal pads and transcribe to a word processor program. Ghost writers work well for this as well. Just an opinion but to me the older ways are better. By the way, still looking for a certain Smith-Corona typewriter.🖨

Great question, I know I will have fuel sitting through the winter so I treat it with a product called Stabil. If you can, pour the fuel into a clear glass container to see if water is present, it will be at the bottom. I have a video on my YouTube channel on this subject. If no water I would run it, you can use another product called Heet, to dry out some of the moisture present. Hope this helps.

Johnny’s is a great source and Table Top Farms use them also.

We grow a lot of reds for the stews and pot roast recipes. The Yukons and Russerts are for baking and we we have our own starts mostly. We will start them late Jan. Or Early Feb. Also do our Sweet Taters the same way. Green houses are great.

Wow I am finishing up a Bible study on this very subject, and will have a verse chain link on this subject soon. Personally I believe that the Lord will keep the crazies away, but if someone comes we need to help. We will need to be in prayer almost always and have a close walk with Him. Trust in your preparing that you will have the right amount for what’s coming. God will bless all that you do.

When I build anything here I go through the whole question process and draw up plans and even fill out a cuts list then get pricing and ask around our community to see if anyone has any of these supplies. The question is never do we need it, because the need is apparent over time. Lists are always the best because it reveals things you might have missed otherwise. Remember to look for the best deals, save a buck when you can.

I myself use what ever someone is getting rid of. Right now it’s an Amana washer and a GE dryer. I do have a Samsung dishwasher I need to find out what’s not working. O the joys of free. On this subject It’s time to look at refrigerators and freezers to ensure the compressors and coils are clear of debris underneath and around the back, and have good air flow. Thanks for the discussion subject.

Hey JeffBen, thanks for the link, that looks like a cheaper alternative to the Dremel. I will put that on my review list.

Sorry for the late response. As far as the chainsaw goes just keep running good fuel in it and keep a sharp chain. The extras are changing fuel filters often and make sure you flip the cutting bar every so often. Also ensure the oiler is always working. Have an extra spark plug and chain with you will make your day go better.

Hey Lesa, just saw your reply. I am working on a training course for small engine repair for the Homesteader. By the end you will be Abel to troubleshoot most anything and diagnose problems. Workbook and all.
