    UPDATE:

It’s definitely been a success. I took off the hammocks for the squash, but left them on the watermelon. I’ve only harvested 2 squash for now. I’m leaving the others out there awhile longer. My only complaint is a constant battle with squash bugs.

We’ve moved out of state 3 times since 2015 due to my husband’s job. Each time we were given some moving money from his company to do so.

With that said, we get three estimates for top rated companies each time. (I really take time reading reviews.) The price can be significantly different from company to company, but we’ve always had good service going with the lowest quote. It does not seem to be a “get what you pay for” situation. As for a tip, I’ve always googled the current going rate to make sure I’m being fair.

Hope all goes well for you!

I planted Heirloom “Lincoln” peas in the spring and they did poorly, also. Yours did even better than mine. I just planted some for a fall crop on the opposite side of the garden to see if I can still get some this year.

Thanks for your input. I guess that’s my concern since I can’t pinpoint the exact cause, is that I can’t be sure then if they are safe to eat🤔

Oh, good! It sounds like you’ve been successful with this method. That’s encouraging. Since I took that picture the squash are now about the size I would buy them at the grocery store, but they are green still. I hope they don’t get too much bigger.
