My garden took a beating from the heat of this summer despite watering constantly. But, now that the temperatures are coming down my garden is bouncing back and producing. Next summer I am going to shade my garden plants. So, now I am planting cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and kale for my fall garden. I also grow a weed called purslane for my chickens. They love it. It has a very high vitamin C content. It is edible for humans. But, you do not want to eat to much of it because it has a high level of
